Last week turned out to be a blast (from the past!)....and what great timing. Just as we were about to start feeling really sorry for ourselves, with the loss of the devil-dog savvi, and with Murray's dad's hospitalisation, we were blessed with the return of Jean-Francois Roy (otherwise known as Jeff from Canada) and Nichol ("it wasn't me") from Germany. Jeff had just finished a 2500km (that's not a typo!!!) bike ride around NZ with his girlfriend Karin. He wanted us to meet this delightful gal, and to show her around Albany (well, around Oranje Tractor) so they arrived to spread some joy upon us! Nichol was visiting the region with her parents, and we were honoured to meet them and share their company over dinner. I'm not sure what they made of all the clatter & chatter, especially because they're only just starting to learn to speak English....but they smiled & laughed a lot! We'll see Nichol again as she's planning on staying in WA, which is just great. We've promised Jeff & Karin that we'll come to Canada to see their wedding - if & when that occurs. They're truly a special couple and we're so glad that they have become a part of our lives thru woofing.
